Origami gift


         This origami  model is a combination of origami and quilling pattern and is 10 cm wide and 6 cm tall and it took me about 8 hours .Origami Flowers has made ​​after a model by Krystyna Burczyk.

    Hmm. you have given me an idea to use old magazines...imagine the lovely bowls once could create out of the colorful advertisements. While not sturdy unless coated with some kind of shellacking compound I think it would be a good recycling project.

    Yes it is a good idea , I tried to use old magazines too but so far I have not really been happy with the results

    I think I read somewhere that, even though it may be an additional step that some artisans actually take the magazine or other paper and cover it with that clear sticky paper. Contact paper. Then cut it into pieces and fold and otherwise build or weave with it. Maybe that will help?
