HOW TO MAKE 3D ORIGAMI SWAN (MODEL3)

                    Today I want to show you how to make a very nice  3d origami swan model, it is a medium difficulty  model and it is a  little harder to do than the previous model . This 3d origami model is made from white normal printer paper A4 format ,80/sm thick.
             3D origami swan is the most common 3d origami  models,and occur in a variety of shapes and colors ,these 3d origami swans are easy to make and are recommended as a starting point for beginners in the art of origami 3d.
              These 3d origami swan model is made from large pieces 32/A4 piece of paper ,these pieces are made from rectangles of paper with dimension 5.2-3.6cm . We need around 580 3d origami pieces.At this 3D origami model you must be very careful in building wings.

    I recommend you stick each piece of the model for it to resist in time and also I recommend that you to  protect the models from dust using either a window, a glass or plastic bell ,plastic bags.... Also another method to protect from dust is to use a  protective lacquer.

How to make 3d origami swan model1

               Today I want to show you how to make a very nice and simple 3d origami swan model, it is a medium model ,made from white normal printer paper A4 format ,80/sm.

How to make 3d origami base

            3D origami base it is very important in making origami 3d models ,most 3D origami  models
contain at least one base, these base gives strength and solidity of the model as long as done correctly. There are two types of 3d origami bases -open bases and - close bases but we talk about this later.
              Before we start talking about 3D origami bases we need to understand a few things about how to connect these 3D origami pieces ,there are many ways to connect these pieces but for now we talk about normal and inverted way.
           Connecting '' normal'' pieces it means that the round part of the piece is on the outside of the model and this method  is the most common.The '' normal '' way looks very good and tends to get tight.

         Connecting ''inverted'' pieces it means that the round part of the pieces is on inside part of the model and this method is used much less often.The raws made from'' inverted'' pieces  tend to  enlarge.

             Now we go back to Base 3D origami bases , a base size is determined by the number of pieces in a row , all 3d origami bases are made in the same way only differences is the number of pieces in a row.
             There are two types of 3d origami pieces , open base and closed base.

      3D origami open base: the open base is made of three  normal rows closed in a circle,this base is used most often to more complex models involving several modules glued together like : flowers ,people ....

               3D origami closed base: the closed base is made of three  normal rows closed in a circle with a inverted row in the bottom ,it is used very often representing the foundation of most 3D origami models like : swans, baskets,vases....  .

              Be patient and learn how to make these base right ,3d origami bases  are very important and are found in most 3d origami  models , it is the foundation of 3D Origami and many fail to learn how to make this 3d origami properly.

How to Make 3D Origami Pieces

            This article is about the beginnings of the  3D origami art ,and it starts with folding of 3d  origami  pieces ,3d origami pieces are very important and I advise you to pay special care and patience in their folding.If 3D origami pieces are made correctly when their connection is easy and models will be very beautiful .
              We'll start with the paper ,  I usually use normal printer paper A4 (297mm / 210mm)          80 grams / square meter thick  but sometimes I use other types of paper such as paper wrapping  gift.
I know that in some states it is hard to find A4 format but you can use other formats ,it is very important to keep the ratio between length and width of sheet  paper, you must have a ratio around 1,4(1,37-1,43) and for this you can cut a small strip of paper to obtain this ratio.

    In the following tutorial you will  learn how to  cut the paper and how to make 3d origami pieces ,please remember that all 3d origami pieces  size are made in the same way the only difference is the dimension of the  paper  rectangle  .   I advise you to use for cutting the paper knife  or a blunt knife.

You can easily see that the 3d origami piece is very sharp and  does not look very good ,fortunately there is a very rapid process of turning sharp pieces on the left in very nice round shape piece from the right side.

Special 3D origami Christmas Gift

Merry Christmas …

‘s Christmas Day and I want to present some special little  3d 0rigami models,a few origami 3d Santa Claus little more special.Parts that are made are very small, about a quarter of the standard are made from rectangles of paper with dimensions of 2.5-2 cm. Of a sheet of printer paper get 128 pieces.

Origami 3d Santa Claus have approximately 7cm high and 4.5cm diameter and are very hard to do but the result is very nice. They’re hand made crafts and some very nice gifts for the holidays.

3D origami is great hobby and can be very useful to develop some skills such as patience and imagination, at least in my case proved very useful.

Origami 3d Santa Claus

Is December and the holidays approaching and  I want to introduce origami Santa Claus .Origami 3d Santa Claus can be a special gift for the winter holidays.I was inspired by a video uploaded by Girnelis and made some personal changes.

I really like this model because it is very compact, easy to carry and instantly bring a smile to the person who receives,is an original and extraordinary gift for the holidays.

Origami 3d Santa Claus is made of around 350 pieces  and  has different eye colors and shades of skin.They are not  very hard to do.

3D Origami swan family

This article is a continuation of the last one about origami 3d swan and introduces two new concepts : origami 3d  swan baby and origami 3d swan family.

They are made from the same triangles pieces .These are the two models that I want to introduce:

black and white family are made from around 1050 pieces.

and single white family are made from around 1200 pieces:

This are hand made ​​crafts and a very nice gift for  someone special. They are not very hard to made but requires patience.

3D Origami Swan

This is the beginning of  my experience in origami,to be exact in modular origami or 3d origami.Origami swan is a very common theme in origami 3d and is not hard to do.They are made from small triangles of paper,an A4 sheet is 32 triangles.

My origami swans are made from 380-550 triangles pieces .
